MAHILA CLUB

WOMEN DEVELOPMENT CELL (WDC)

Vision

To strengthen the status of women and facilitate a congenial working environment.

Mission

To create efficient structure and practices that ensures equal rights and opportunities for women in family, community and workplace.

OBJECTIVES OF WDC

  • To provide opportunities and organize programs for girls and female faculty and staff to be financially, mentally and emotionally empowered to promote their growth as individuals.
  • To Provide a forum for discussion and interaction with eminent ladies
  • To create social awareness about the problems of women and in particular regarding gender discrimination.
  • To develop the self confidence of Women.
  • To guide about Women Welfare Laws.
  • To direct the role of Women in the society. To develop multidisciplinary approach for the overall personality development.
  • To organize seminars, workshops relating to women development.


SCIENCE CLUB


About

The Science Club was started with an aim intended to invite many eminent scientists who would share their experience with the students and motivate them to get scientific knowledge. Activities are designed primarily to introduce students to undertake interesting/exciting science and technology projects. The Science Club consists of a group of students who want to explore the many branches of engineering, mathematics, and science. The club is open to all students. The purpose of the Science Club is to promote interest, understanding, and knowledge of the scientific world amongst the college students and local community.

Mission

To provide a platform for students to engage in hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences that promote a deep empathetic of scientific perceptions and moralities. We aim to nurture their analytical and creative thinking abilities while encouraging them to question, experiment, and explore.


Objectives

The Guiding Principles behind the scheme are a useful starting point for those wishing to develop their own activities. The five Guiding Principles govern how the activities have been developed. Investigator activity offers Student the opportunity to
• Solve a relevant, science-based problem, set within a scenario.
• Work in pairs or small groups or independently.
• Take part in practical, hands-on science activities.
• Think and talk about science, during the activity and when sharing their results.
• Share their results using a variety of media.

NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS)











About

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. It provides opportunity to the student youth of higher education level of India to take part in various government led community service activities and   programmes. The sole aim of the NSS is to provide hands on experience to young students in delivering community service. ll the youth volunteers who opt to serve the nation through the NSS led community service wear the NSS badge with pride and a sense of responsibility towards helping needy. The Konark wheel in the NSS badge having 8 bars signifies the 24 hours of a the day, reminding the wearer to be ready for the service of the nation round the clock i.e. for 24 hours. Red colour in the badge signifies energy and spirit displayed by the NSS volunteers. The Blue colour signifies the cosmos of which the NSS is a tiny part, ready to contribute its share for the welfare of the mankind.

To build the youth with the mind and spirit to serve the society and work for the social uplift of the down-trodden masses of our nation as a movement.

Mission

The National Service Scheme has been functioning with the motto “NOT ME BUT YOU” in view of making the youth inspired in service of the people and hence NSS Aims Education through Community Service and Community Service through Education.

  • Gain skills in mobilizing community participation.

PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB

Photography Club was established with the primary goal of fostering photography skills among students.

Vision

To create a dynamic space that goes beyond the technical aspects of photography, fostering creativity, collaboration, and a deep appreciation for visual storytelling.

Providing a supportive environment that empowers members to develop their photographic skills, contribute to the cultural life of our college, and embrace the ethical dimensions of photography.

  • To provide opportunities for students to enhance their photography skills, whether they are beginners or more advanced. To encourage the students to explore and express their creativity through photography.

SHORT FILM CLUB

The Short Film Club provides an informal, friendly, and supportive environment for videographers at all levels of experience and with interests in all types of photographic imagery. The club fosters and encourages growth of artistic vision and technical knowledge, exploring the connection between the eye, the camera, and the spirit. Members share ideas and knowledge with each other and help to promote interest in videography in the community through exhibitions and other events. The film club encourages the students in story writing, scripting and direction along with motion picture development. It lets the students ooze with creativity at every step thereby letting off from the pressure of studies and other core related activities

FINE ARTS & MUSIC CLUB

The Fine Arts club  identifies  the various hidden talents of our students and to bring them out. It provides an environment for the education, creation, performance and celebration of arts. It encourages and brings out the artistic capabilities of students in the field of Music, Dance, Drama, Visual Arts and other cultural activities

Debate Club

About

Debate club teaches the students how to research, articulate arguments, and make concepts clear. It aims to increase an interest towards debate and English. The debate club activities provide the students with the opportunity to think critically, develop their academic research skills, improve their communication abilities, solve problems creatively and increase their self-confidence. Debate students can significantly increase their reading comprehension and demonstrate excellence in both written and oral speaking.

    YOUTH RED CROSS (YRC)








    The YRC is the most important constituent of its mother organisation, Indian Red Cross. It is a student movement organised for students in Colleges and Technical Institutions. It is a group movement organized at the initial stages for students between 18 and 25 years of age within the colleges.

    RED RIBBON CLUB (RRC)








     

    Red Ribbon Club is a movement started by the Government of India in schools and colleges through which, students will spread awareness over HIV / AIDS. It envisages to instil charity mind among all the students to extend their able help towards developing healthy life styles, donating blood to all the needy by promotion of Regular voluntary blood donation.

    Vision

    Red Ribbon clubs are envisaged to instill among all the students the values of service develop healthy life styles,and increase access to safe and adequate quantities of blood to all the needy by promotion of regular voluntary blood donation.

    Mission

    Rotaract provides an opportunity for BEC young professional leaders to promote responsible citizenship, develop professional skills, and employ effective leadership by offering venues to learn from proven leaders, network with committed young professionals and serve the needs of the community.

    பில்டர்ஸ் தமிழ் சங்கம்

    நம் கல்லூரி துவங்கபட்டதிலிருந்து, பில்டர்ஸ் தமிழ் சங்கம் செயல்பட்டு வருகிறது. தமிழர் பாரம்பரியத்தையும் தமிழ் மொழியின் மேல் உள்ள ஆர்வத்தையும், பொறியியல் மாணவர்களிடையே வளர்க்கச்செய்கிறது. நம் மாணவர்களின் இயல், இசை, நாடகத் திறமைகளை நம் தமிழ்ச்சங்கம் வெளிக்கொண்டு வருகிறது. மாதந்தோறும் “பௌர்ணமி கருத்தரங்கம்” என்னும் நிகழ்வில் மாணவர்களின் தனித்திறமைகளை வெளிக்கொண்டுவரும் விதமாக ஊக்குவிக்கும் போட்டிகள் நடத்தப்படுகிறது. மேலும், தமிழர் வாழ்வியலை எடுத்துரைக்கும் திரைப்படங்களையும், தமிழறிஞர்களின் சொற்பொழிவுகளையும் ஏற்பாடு செய்கிறோம். அதுமட்டுமின்றி வருடந்தோறும் கல்வி சுற்றுலா ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்படுகிறது. இவை அனைத்தும் நம் மாணவர்களிடையே நம் தாய் மொழியான தமிழ் மொழியின் பற்றினை உயர்த்த செய்கிறது.

    ROTARACT CLUB

    About

    Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30. Rotaract clubs are either community or university based, and they are sponsored by a local Rotary club. This makes them true & partners in service & and key members of the family of Rotary. As one of Rotary’s most significant and fastest-growing service programs, with more than 10,698 Rotaract clubs, 2,03,298 Rotaractors in about 180 countries and geographical areas, Rotaract has become a worldwide phenomenon. The Rotaract Club of Builders Engineering College was chartered on 18th September 2023. It is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Kangeyam Town. They function under Rotary International district 3203.
